Chairman Mao

Chairman Mao’s Statue lies to the north of the Watching River Pavilion with its back to the northwest. It was based on the image of Mao Zedong at his youth in 1925. The Statue is at present the biggest artistic statue in our country. In addition, in the foundation part of the statue, there is a Chairman Mao’s Memorial Hall and an exhibition room, which occupies a large area of about 2000㎡.
